Fantastic 4-Teens

I am grateful that I have been given this opportunity to experience experiments for my Process Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics course that I had taken previously. In Chemical Engineering Lab 1, I am able to apply my knowledge by conducting 9 out of 14 experiments that were scheduled specifically for us. Three experiments were on Fluid Mechanics and the other 6 were on Process Heat Transfer. I was quite sad that my group did not manage to conduct certain experiment that were not scheduled for us but we cannot do anything about it. My teammates and I had a great teamwork while conducting the experiments. Besides that, we also manage to divide our task for the experiments and report equally. So did the GAs as they were helpful and they always help us understand the concept of the experiment deeply.

Throughout this course, I have faced several problem while conducting the experiments. I would like to propose some improvisation towards some issues that my group and i have encountered. Firstly, the condition of the apparatus. My group and I did not manage to experience Experiment 1 part D as the capillary tube cannot function. Second, the second experiment had leakage with the apparatus and faulty temperature sensor which led to time consuming duration of experiment. We finished our lab at 6.15pm that day. Lastly, the shell and tube heat exchanger. There was a problem with the main power where the heat exchanger shiuts down after a certain period of time and my group had to go the main switch to switch i back on.
